Parijata Mackey

Parijata Mackey, a former intern of the IEET, is an undergraduate at the University of Chicago, studying philosophy and computational neuroscience. She is interested in neural interfaces and artificial intelligence. She also runs an undergraduate lab studying synthetic biology and bioinformatics at the University of Chicago, and is an active member of the DIY Biology community. She has led an on-campus student group, Democratic Transhumanists, for the last three years, and is interested in the legal challenges and ethical implications of emerging technologies.
