Snachismo, or: What Do Women Want?

Athena Andreadis

Astrogator's Log

February 12, 2009

Between the approach of Valentine’s Day and recent discussions in a forum where a lot of stale sociobiological doctrines about women were put forward, I thought I’d put this up… planting a flag, as it were.

You are an unfaltering example of sanity in a consistantly derranged species, Ms Andreadis.
Being that my lovelife resembles, at best, deleated, heavily crossed out passages found in Kurt Vonnegut's waste paper bin, deemed too rediculous to make it even as satirical science fiction, I can learn little of use to the cause of evolution, certainly at least, though, the doom can sometimes be worn on the other foot too. If this can serve as any comfort!
Trevor Goodchild you say? My eyebrows raised at that, - but not the cartoon Goodchild - yes, I boycotted the film version as I thought if they couldnt even get those indispensable hair horns right on AEON, then what hope for the rest of the film?
Ive always strove to be as good a man as I can, sad as this may sound, my idealised template for manly develpment was John Astin as Gomez Addams.
John Astin himself is a unique fellow, and son of a physicist.
In the hunt for decent role models, no place is too far, or too weird.
The portrayal of Ghengis Khan in that masterpiece of a film `Mongol' treated Ghengis as a sensitive, humane emancipator of the long suffering Mongol women.
I hope this could be, to some extent, how he really might have been. Its a terrific charactor, and a hugely unnexpected set of traits for a human of any age.
If you havent seen this film, I think you might find it of quite some interest

The Aeon Flux film wasn't great, but it posed biological questions that would be interesting to transhumanists.

I have seen the Genghis Khan film. His rescue of Borte is historically accurate. So he may have been snacho with her, though I don't think he improved the status of Mongolian women much.

Aeon Flux was far from perfect, but it posed biological questions of great interest to transhumanists.

I did see the Genghis Khan film. His rescue of Borte is historical fact. So he may have been snacho with her, although I don't think he improved the condition of Mongolian women as a whole.
