The Top 10 Existential Movies of All Time

George Dvorsky

Sentient Developments

You need to find room for Joe VS the Volcano on this list. I agree with a lot of your picks, but Joe should be in your top 5. Explores the theme of ennui as a result of our fear of change.

I am a teacher at a highschool. This is a great list of movies with existential themes, although I feel you focus to much on newer films and leave out the truley existential films from the 20's through the 50's, "Film Noir". Movies like double indemnity, the big sleep, even neo noir films like the big lebowski or pulp fiction.

Chris, I agree with you that George's list, while good, suffers from too much reliance on recent movies. I submitted an alternate list that brought in both older movies and foreign films.
