That was a pretty good read and some good thoughts there. It will be wonderful indeed when AI is at the point that it has the sum experiences and wisdom of many and is able to call up all those events, outcomes and use that in new unique events, drawing comparisons and making the "Best Possible Answer" and then, Artificial Intelligence can be said to have wisdom that far surpasses a human of many years, observations, education and experiences. This will be quite an awesome day for AI engineers, what is your projected timeline for this to be a reality? 5,10,15-years?

Its interesting how are we trying to give feelings to machines, personally I believe wisdom is merely an act of will among all living beings meanwhile is just an emulation of life itself. Another good approach is the simulation of brain with networks which emulates the brain behavior. I don't think machines will be able to make a wish.

This is very interesting. my field of research is artificial intelligence and semantic technology. I have been thinking about the concept of wisdom for more than 15 years. I am really interested communicate and exchange view with others who are interested in this topic.

Wisdom has different definitions from different point of views.
I have not seen a deep definition or very clear one so far.

Wisdom is the output of a process in our brain in certain situation which can be labeled as a wise act by a certain group of people while some other may label it crazy or bad or ...

Thus definition of wisdom is very subjective !! Is it possible to separate observation fro observer and define it objectively?

Do you mind if I use the term "artificial wisdom" as long as I give you credit? I've thought up the term myself on my own, but it seems you've published first. I think your analysis is very good, but lacking in a few respects. I happen to be a professional philosopher (mainly in Western traditions), but I think that "artificial wisdom" might be precisely what we need to save humanity from self-destruction. Its development seems to me to be the most important project we could undertake as a species right now.
