And the winner is ... Gattaca

In a recently concluded poll, IEET readers conclusively selected Gattaca (1997) as the science fiction movie that “portrays the future most believably.”




It really wasn’t close. Gattaca received almost three times as many votes as the second place finisher, Blade Runner.



Among the “Other” answers, two people said none of the above, one person said all of them, and the rest suggested movies we hadn’t named in the poll, including Avatar, Alien, Æon Flux, Firefly, Road Warrior, Soylent Green, and Ghost in the Shell.
