Differing Opinions of Tech Progress

IEET readers have a decidedly mixed view of the scientific and technological accomplishments of the past ten years, according to a recently completed poll.

Almost half (47%) of respondents called the decade’s successes “impressive” or even “fabulous” and “incredible.” For 20% of those who answered, however, things were either “dismal” or “disappointingly slow.” And in the middle, about one-third (34%) of IEET readers said it was “average.”
